Fresh Approach Hawaii Action Alert March 19 2014

Aloha, Everyone!
I’m sorry it’s been such a long time since my last update. Much of the focus in the capitol lately has been on Medical marijuana. If you are interested in Medical Marijuana issues, I strongly suggest that you visit MCCHI.org and sign up. There are currently two sets of resolutions that need your support.

Otherwise, please consider submitting testimony in favor of SCR80 / SR37, a resolution requesting the DEA to reschedule marijuana. This resolution has been scheduled for a hearing on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 1:35PM Conference Room 224. This is also an important resolution, both for supporters of medical marijuana and for supporters of progressive marijuana reform in other areas. Marijuana is currently considered a Schedule 1 controlled substance and this makes everything about the medical marijuana program in Hawaii more difficult. If this resolution passes, the state government of Hawaii will formally request that the DEA Reschedule Marijuana in accordance of the fact that there is an accepted medical use of Marijuana in this state and in 20 others. Please click here for some talking points, and click here to submit your testimony.

Thank you for your time,
Rafael
